Born in Penn Argyl, Pa., son of the late Carmen and Rose (Carbone) Morela. Survived by his wife, Mary (Tredway) Morela; five children: sons, Samuel Jr., Carmen and Fred Sr., all of Hanover; daughters, Mrs. Connie Masenheimer, Hanover, and Mrs. Barbara Hay, Somerset RD 1; also survived by a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He had been a cook in restaurants in York and Adams counties and had been an equipment operator for the borough of Hanover. U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Funeral services will be today at 11 a.m. at Wetzel Funeral Home, 549 Carlisle St., Hanover, with the Rev. Msgr. Robert C. Gribbin officiating. Interment, Resthaven Cemetery.
