Born Jan. 17, 1925, in Keyser, W.Va. Son of John and Mary (Funa) Morell. Preceded in death by parents and two brothers, Frank and Fred. Survived by wife, the former Evelyn P. Clark; daughters, Nancy and Sandra, wife of Jesse Cook, of Berlin; three grandchildren, Leslie and Shawn Pyle and Josiah Cook, and two great-grandchildren, Jury and Hope. Brother of William of Pittsburgh, Joseph of Seward, and Mary Stroke of Acosta. Member of All Saints Catholic Parish, the Cairnbrook Local 1023 UMWA, Somerset Post 554, VFW; Somerset Post 181, American Legion, and Somerset Aerie 1801, FOE. Retired miner and Army veteran of World War II. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell, where wake service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Friday at All Saints Chapel, Acosta, Rev. Father Martin Breski, O.F.M., Conv., celebrant. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
