  MORGAN
    
    Katherine Morgan, 87, of Somerset, died May 15, 2003 at Somerset
  Hospital.  Born Dec. 16, 1915 in Stoystown a daughter of John Nevin
  and Naomi (Berkey) Walter.  Preceded in death by parents; first
  husband, Carl H. Hoffman who died Nov. 30, 1980; brother, Robert
  Walter and sister, Ruth Lape.  Survived by husband Richard C. Morgan
  to whom she was married 18 years; children: Mrs. Jane V. Friedline of
  Somerset; Mrs. James (Sally) Spangler of Somerset; stepchildren,
  Michael C. Morgan of Coatsville and Ms. Mary Morgan of Somerset;
  grandchildren: Susan Leach of Indian Lake; Deb LaSoto of Somerset;
  Jim Spangler of Nashville, Tenn. and John Friedline of Kendell Park,
  N.J.; step grandchildren: Sarah Lawrence of Pittsburgh and Erin and
  Jeffrey Morgan of Coatsville; great-grandchildren: Kelly and Jimmy
  Mayer and Ali and Lauren Spangler.  A 1933 graduate of Stoystown High
  School and a 1937 graduate of Cambria Rowe Business College.  She was
  a receptionist for Pennsylvania Public Assistance from 1937-1947. 
  Member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Somerset Welfare League, Somerset
  Garden Club and Somerset County Republican Party.  Katherine will be
  remembered for her loving kindness for her family and friends.  No
  viewing or visitation.  Service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday at
  Trinity Lutheran Church Chapel, Somerset with the Rev. Robert L.
  Hoover Jr., Sr. Pastor officiating.  Interment, Husband Cemetery.
