MORGART Mrs. Rosalie E. Morgart, wife of William A. Morgart, died Tuesday morning at her home in Jennings, Md., at the age of 84. She was born in Washington, D.C., a daughter of the late Thomas L. and Adelaide Darnell, who moved to Cumberland when she was quite young. Her father was a photographer and Mrs. Morgart inherited the artistry of her father, shown by her water colors and her tapestry work. Mrs. Morgart was a kind, cheerful person and was known for her pleasing personality. She was a member of Emanuel Episcopal Church of Cumberland, where she had been an active member for years. The Morgart family lived several years in Grantsville. They moved to Jennings in 1917 where they have been operating several coal mines. Mrs. Morgart is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Phyllis M. Gibson and Mrs. Beatrice M. Atchison, of Arlington, Va., and one son Louis K. Morgart, Jennings. Mr. and Mrs. Morgart celebrated their golden wedding anniversary four years ago. The funeral was held at the Wolford Funeral Home, Cumberland, Thursday afternoon after which the body was taken to Arlington, Va., for interment. The Rev. David Cartwright Clark, rector of Emanuel Episcopal Church conducted the funeral service. Meyersdale Republican, December 2, 1943
