She was born Dec. 30, 1916, in Fort Hill, a daughter of Martin and Isalena (Tressler) Phillippi. Her parents, husband, Carl Moriarty; brother, Cloyd Phillippi; sister, Beatrice Anglers; and an infant daughter, Ionne Yvonne Niner, preceded her in death. Surviving are her devoted daughter, Shirley Niner Conaway and husband, Dick, Uniontown; grandchildren, Denise Benyak, Annapolis, Md.; Deborah Conaway, Uniontown; Attorney Debi Henry Costelnock and husband, Judge Paul Costelnock, Mount Pleasant; John R. Conaway III and wife, Jeanne, Uniontown; step-daughter, Marilyn Campbell and husband, Harry, Josephine; grandchildren, Jillian and Erick Benyak, Annapolis; Tyler, Caitlyn and Jake Conaway, Uniontown, Alex and Asa Costelnock, Mount Pleasant; as well as several step grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Wilma was a lifelong resident of Confluence with her deep faith rooted in the Nazarene Church for more than 30 years. During her working life, Wilma drove school bus, and was a Raleigh dealer for 20 years, receiving many awards for outstanding performance. She traveled extensively, was chairperson for the American Red Cross in Somerset County and was a member of the Three Rivers Senior Citizens and the Confluence Senior Citizens. Wilma will be sadly missed by her family and friends. The family would like to give special thanks to the Marquis House, Robin Newhouse and her staff, for the four years of tender, loving care Wilma received as a resident there, as well as a special Thank You to Medi Home Hospice and their staff for the excellent care, love and compassion they gave to our loved one. During her final hours, the Marquis Staff and the Medi Home Hospice provided unequaled care and support to Wilma and her loved ones. Friends will be received 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence. A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Confluence Church of the Nazarene. The Rev. Ronald Schaeffer and the Rev. Howard Foust officiating. Interment will follow in Somerset County Memorial Park, Somerset.
