  GEORGE ROSS MORT
  
    George Ross Mort, 63, Friedens R.D. 1, died Oct. 19, 1978 at
  Somerset Community Hospital.
    He was born May 23, 1915, in Somerset, son of late William and
  Arminta (Grine) Mort.
    He was preceded in death by an infant son, three sisters and three
  brothers.
    He is survived by his widow, former Dorothy June Rankin, and these
  children: William, Mrs. Mary Miller and Fred, all of Friedens R.D. 1;
  Robert and Charles, both of Friedens R.D. 2; and Mrs. James (Beverly
  Jean) Metzger, Orlando, Fla.; also 17 grandchildren.
    He was a brother of Mrs. Margaret Zearfoss, Orlando, Fla.; Mrs.
  Esther Hay, Rockwood; John, Hogansville, Ga.; and Solomon, Somerset.
    He was veteran of U.S. Navy.  His death ended a marriage union of
  42 years.
    Friends were received at the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home,
  Somerset, where service was conducted with the Rev. William Hay
  officiating.  Interment, Hay Cemetery.
