Preceded in death by parents and sister, Alma Powers. Survived by widow, the former Evelyn Decker, three children: Connie Evanshaw, Silver Spring, Md.; William. D. Jr., Hooversville; Lisa, wife of Richard Ling, Stoystown; two granddaughters, Nicole Evanshaw, and Mellissa Mort. Brother of Francis, Seward RD 1; Rosetta Leach, Benson, Ariz.; Marlyn, Hooversville RD 1; Kenneth, Boswell; Dale, Pasadena, Texas. Member of Jenner Rod and Gun Club. Retired employee of Island Creek Coal Co. Tire Hill. Marine Corps veteran of World War II. Friends received from 7-9 p.m. Friday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny Street, Boswell, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, the Rev. Alfred Evanoski, O.F.M.
