Daily American, March 28, 1983 [M2385] [*Note by transcriber: Upon searching to see if Melda was the correct spelling of her name, was unable to locate her in the SSDI, probably due to husband died before her. Found her in the 1920 "actual" census, Middlecreek, District 186, Somerset Co., Pa., beginning with line 20 thru 27, listed under household name of Neiderheiser, Hariet (her grandmother) along with her parents and siblings, Melda's name is listed as Media. Noted that one of her siblings listed in obit, Beryl is mentioned as a brother, in the census Beryl is listed as a granddaughter, in her grandmother's household. I searched for a Beryl Shaulis and found nothing. Search was performed in the various spellings of Shaulis.]
