MOSER February 1, 1918 August 22, 2004 Mr. Glen D. Moser, 86, of Wilmington, Del., died on Sunday, August 22, 2004, at Silver Lake Center in Dover, Del. Born in Salisbury, on February 1, 1918, Mr. Moser was the son of the late Scott E. and Anna C. (Davis) Moser. He is survived by two children: David G. Moser and his wife Patricia of Clayton, Del.; and Drucilla "Drue" Vari and her husband Joseph of New Castle, Del.; three sisters: Gladys E. Demuth of Baltimore, Md.; Dottie Loechel of Canton, Ohio; and Sally Moser of Sterling, Va.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Moser made his career in the US Air Force, serving his country for 20 years until his retirement in 1957 as a chief warrant officer. He was a veteran of World War II, fighting in China/Burma/India Theater, and spent two tours during the occupation of Japan, where he was stationed with F.E.A.M.C.O.M. in Tachakawa. During the Korean Conflict, Mr. Moser was based at Johnson Field in Japan. He also served in Canada for a year and the following bases in the United States: Langley Field, Va.; Westover Field, Mass.; Tuscon, Ariz.; Pendleton, Ore.; Spokane, Wash.; Warner Robbins Depot, Ga.; Chanute Field, Ill.; Casey Jones School of Aeronautics, Newark, N.J.; and Avon Park, Fla. Following his military service, he was the owner and operator for 28 years of "The Reproduction Center" in New Castle, which specialized in offset printing, drafting and engineering supplies. Mr. Moser was a member of Hope Lutheran Church, St. John's Lodge #2, AF & AM, the Delaware Consistory, the Nur Temple Shrine and the Sojourners. He was the former president of the Colonial New Castle Kiwanis Club. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, August 27, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle, Del., with Masonic services at 7:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 28, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, New Castle.
