Born Nov. 25, 1904, in Johnstown, son of the late Edward C. and Mary Agnes (Rummel). Preceded in death by wife, Evelyn M. (Smith); and brothers and sisters, Clara Mosholder, Merle, Ivy Alwine, Olive Cauffiel, Mary Hopp, Dorothy Hershberger, Evelyn Vickroy and Clarence. Survived by children, Carol A. Mullen, Boswell; Gary D., married to the former Judith Koot, Boswell; Linda L., married to Robert G. Shoemaker II, Somerset; and Becky L. Mosholder, Thomasdale; grandchildren, Jeffrey L. Mullen, married to the former Carolyn Aden; Gary S. Mosholder, married to the former Sheri Thompson, Robert G. Shoemaker III, married to the former Kristin Durlak; and Laura A. Shoemaker, and fiancˇ, Patrick Yaple; and great-grandchildren, Joshua P. and Jessica A. Mosholder; Derek J. and Jill L. Mullen; and Robert G. Shoemaker IV. Brother of Anna Fuge, Salix. Life member of Roxbury Church of the Brethren, where he actively served as a deacon. He was a member of the church choir and served on several board commissions over a number of years. He was a member of the Gideon Male Chorus. He retired from Bethlehem Steel Corp., 134th Inch Plate Mill Department, after 32 years of service. He was an avid gardener and loved his family. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., Johnstown, where a Deacon Service will be held 6:30 p.m. Friday. Viewing will also be held from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Saturday at Roxbury Church of the Brethren. The Rev. John D. Cable officiating. Interment Grandview Cemetery.
