Nelson Mosholder Dies; Heart Trouble

  Nelson Mosholder of LaVansville will never know that Frank Metzler has been 
nominated to succeed him as road supervisor of Somerset Township.
  Mr. Mosholder, 77 years old, died Tuesday morning.  He was stricken with heart 
trouble a week ago and was in a coma when he passed away.
  He had served two six-year terms as supervisor and his tenure expires this 
year.  Metzler won the nomination by a margin of about 200 votes.
  Mrs. [sic?] Mosholder was twice married.  His second wife, Mrs. Carrie 
Mosholder survives him with five children: J.W. Mosholder of Somerset, Mrs. Paul 
Wolford of Listie; Mrs. Clyde Whipperman of Bolder, Colo.; Isaac Mosholder, and 
Mrs. Merle Barron, of LaVansville.  He was a brother of Isaac Mosholder and 
George Mosholder, of Dixon, Illinois, Jonathan Mosholder of Johnstown; Mrs. 
Savilla Davis of Somerset; Mrs. Minnie Kessler of Uniontown, and Mrs. Emma Shank 
of Somerset.
  Funeral services are to be conducted at the home Friday afternoon at 3, in 
charge of the Rev. Mr. Brant of Donegal, and the Rev. M.B. Miller of 
Lavansville.  Interment will be in the Listie cemetery, Charles R. Hauger 
directing.

[*Submitter remarks: In my genealogy, Nelson is spelled with two ss, but William 
(his son), spelled with one s. Doesn't seem to be any particular reason for it. 
Those in Ohio and west, spelled with two ss. Nelson's first wife was Hannah 
Weimer.]
