Mostoller, Jr., 88, of 564 Lafayette Rd., Hampton, N.H., formerly of Johnstown, died June 6, 1977 at Exeter Hospital, Exeter, N.H. Born Sept. 30, 1888 in Stoystown, son of the late John W., Sr., and Katheryn Barnhart Mostoller. Preceded in death by wife, the former Bessie James and nine brothers and sisters. Survived by son, William J., with whom he resided since 1973; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Former Stoystown area school teacher and accountant for U.S. Steel for 40 years. Charter member, Oakland Volunteer Fire Company; Somerset Chapter, Sons of American Revolution and Junior OUAM. Father received Congressional Medal of Honor at the Battle of Lynchburg, Civil War. Family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Herbert G. Hohman officiating.
