  MOTTERN
  
    Marjorie M. Mottern, 67, Punxsutawney RD 5, formerly of Somerset,
  died Nov. 23, 1988 at home. Born Jan. 22, 1922 in Punxsutawney,
  daughter of Clarence E. and Dora (Mauk) Mitchell.  She is survived by
  her husband, Paul E. Mottern; two children: Larry P., New Hershey; and
  Mrs. Thomas (JoAnne) Shively, Punxsutawney; 4 grandchildren; one great
  grandson; 3 sisters: Elsie Houster, Michigan; Rebecca Marie Johnston,
  Punxsutawney; Dora Louise Minnick, Garrettsville, Ohio; and three
  brothers: Thomas Mitchell, Brookville; Wayne Mitchell, Punxsutawney;
  and Robert Mitchell, Punxsutawney.  Friends will be received in the
  Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday.   Funeral
  services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. from the Hopewell United
  Methodist Church in Frostburg, Pa., with the Rev. Edd Myers
  officiating.  Interment, Hopewell Cemetery, Frostburg.  Family
  suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society in Mrs.
  Mottern's memory.
