Mowry, 66, of Fairhope RE 1, died May 9, 1984 at the residence of his son, Donald. Born Sept. 22, 1917 in Somerset, son of the late William and grace (Landis) Mowry. Preceded in death by his wife, the former Gladys Koontz and two sisters. Survived by these children; Harvey W., Northumberland, Pa.; Mrs. Edwin (Nancy) Appleyard, Somerset; Donald, Somerset RD 5; Capt. David W. Pulyallup, Wash.; Gary, Garrett; Mrs. John (Deborah Ann) Nichols; Confluence; 14 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Brother of: Mrs. Walter (Margaret) Morris, Bedford; Mrs. Alice Kooser, William; and Jean Sandusky, all of Somerset; Mrs. Pauline Nicholson, Lake Havasu City, Ariz. Member of Fairhope Community Church; former employee of the P.T.C. Veteran of World Ward II. Friends received from 7-9 p.m. Thursday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Timothy L. Stamper officiating. Interment, St. John's Cemetery.
