Born Aug. 10, 1896 in Quicksburg, Va., a son of Charles and Rebecca Long Moyer. Preceded in death by parents, his wife the former Florence Beal, and two brothers, Charles and Romeo. Survived by two sisters and one brother, Mrs. Reba M. Baughman, Phoenix, Ariz.; and Mrs. Virginia Nicholson, and Virgil J., Somerset. Member of the Calvary United Methodist Church, Somerset, retired employee of the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad and PennDOT, a member of the Railroad Brotherhood of Locomotive Machinists, member of the International Association of Machinists, veteran of World War I, and a member of the American Legion Somerset Post 181. Friends will be received after 7 p.m. today (Tuesday) in Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where service will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m., Rev. Arnold S. Kastner officiating.
