He was born May 30, 1936, in Lincoln Township. A son of Alma G. (Shaffer) Mull, of Antelope, Calif. and the late Park W. Mull. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife Marjorie (Snyder) Mull, daughter Melissa (Mull) Henderson and husband Eric; son Mark Mull and wife Michelle; and grandsons Chad Pletcher, Joshua and Matthew Mull, all of Rockwood; brothers Fred Mull, Orland Park, Ill.; David Mull, Antelope, Calif.; Kenneth Mull, Grand Junction, Colo.; Gary Mull, McKinney, Texas; sisters Lois (Mull) Hoefer, Shawnee Mission, Kan.; Sue (Mull) Kissinger, Antelope, Calif.; and mother-in-law Cleo Snyder of Markleton. His father and an infant sister Agnes Jean preceded him in death. He was a 1954 graduate of Somerset High School. A U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War and a member of Somerset American Legion Post 181. He was a member of New Centerville Church of God, and served on the church council for many years. Member of New Centerville Borough council, life member and past president of New Centerville Volunteer Fire Department. Past president of County Firemen's Association. A member of the Old Timers Baseball Association. Past president of Pennsylvania Umpires Association and was a baseball and softball umpire for many years. He also served as time keeper and scoreboard operator for Rockwood High School volleyball and basketball games, and volunteered with Meals on Wheels. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence, where a service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Timothy Shaw officiating. Interment Mt. Zion Cemetery, Markleton. Family suggests memorial contributions to the New Centerville Church of God building fund. Daily American, September 6, 2003 [M2547]
