MICHAEL MULLEN

  Michael Mullen, an aged citizen of Garrett for many years, died at the home of 
Mr. and Mrs. George Gray, with whom he had lived the last six years, on Sunday 
night, from infirmities of age, being 73 years, 2 months and 18 days old.  He 
had been bedfast since October 1st.  Mr. Mullen was a man of fine character and 
attended to his own business.  He had many staunch friends.  He was in poor 
health only a short while.  He was a coal miner by occupation.  His funeral was 
held Tuesday afternoon, with interment in the Union Cemetery.  R. Reich & Son 
had charge.  Rev. Rowe of the Lutheran Church conducted the funeral rites.
