"Joe" Mumbray, 52, Somerset RD 7, died Oct. 23, 1987, at his residence. Born Jan. 8, 1935, in Punxsutawney, son of the late Joseph and Esther (Heitzenrater) Mumbray. Also preceded in death by one brother. Survived by wife, the former Isabel Coleman Kline; two stepchildren: Lt. Col. Douglas C. Kline, married to the former Diane Speicher, Oakton, Va.; and Mrs. R. George (Alicia) Wetmiller, Huntington, Pa.; grandchildren: Jennifer and Allyson Sherlock and Eric Wetmiller. Brother of, Mrs. Glenn (Eleanor) Wolf, Homer City; John, Warminister; Mrs. Howard (Anna Lou) Solly, Fla.; and four nephews. Member of the St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Somerset; American Legion Post 228, Altoona; and Elks Lodge 1951, Meyersdale. Former manager of the Somerset Drycleaners. Former co-owner of Mark V. Bar. U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict. Certified referee for Somerset County Schools and employee of Bittner Vending Co. Friends received 7-9 p.m. Saturday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday in the Haugar-Zeigler Funeral Home where service will be conducted Monday 10:30 a.m., the Rev. Glenn Sadler officiating.
