     Martha Edna Murphy, 98, Somerset,  formerly of Hooversville, went to  be with her Lord
  and Savior Nov. 26, 2007, at Somerset Hospital . Born June 30, 1909, in Bedford County,
  the daughter of Samuel B. and Mary Etta (Weyandt) Batzel. Preceded in death by parents;
  husband,  Harry (Hites) in 1975; daughters, Donna Lee Murphy and Joyce Patricia  Clark;
  sisters,  Margaret Hoover and Iva Miller; brothers, Cloyde and Elmer Batzel. Survived by
  daughter,  Judy, married to Richard Benny, Somerset; son-in-law, Gwynn Clark, Naperville,
  Ill.; grandchildren, Gwendelynn and Kimberly Clark, Brenda Benny (former owner of The
  Outer Edge), and  Shawn R. Benny Sr.;  great-grandchildren, Julie Ann and Jacqueline
  Vivian, Carver Bowlby, Ashlee,  Shawn R. Jr., and Seth Benny. She worked as a housekeeper
  for William Glosser, Westmont, and was a companion to Blanche Berkey, Hooversville, for
  many years. A faithful member of Hooversville United Methodist Church. She was a loving
  mother and grandmother who enjoyed baking and cleaning. She attended The Senior Daily
  Living Center, Somerset.  Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday
  at Deaner Funeral Home, Hooversville. Viewing from 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m.
  Saturday at  Hooversville United Methodist Church. The Rev. James M. Hamilton
  officiating. Interment P.O.S. of A. Cemetery, Hooversville. Memorial contributions may be
  given to Allegheny  Lutheran Social Services, 231 Tabernacle Drive, Somerset,  PA 15501.
