Born May 17, 1911, in Cambria County. Daughter of William and Elizabeth Seymore Richards. Preceded in death by parents and husband Raymond, who died in 1950. Survived by twin sons, William M. and James R., both at home. Also a brother James, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. Member of St. Andrews Lutheran Church, Boswell, where she taught the Ladies Bible Class in Sunday School for many years. Trinity Chapter No. 138, Order of Eastern Star, Somerset Lodge. Graduate of California State Teacher's College. Was a teacher in Beaverdale and Wilmore Schools before coming to Boswell in 1951, where she taught English, French, and Latin in the North Star School District, Boswell Campus, when she retired in 1973. Was a member of Pennsylvania State Educational Association and National Education Association. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Joseph H. Hoffman Funeral Home, 227 Allegheny St., Boswell. Funeral service 11 a.m. Monday at St. Andrews Lutheran Church, Boswell. Rev. George A. Clark officiating. Interment, Prospect Cemetery, Portage.
