Murray, 50 of Riverdale Park, Reading, died Dec. 18, 1973 in Sacred Heart Nursing Home in Philadelphia, where he had been a patient for five months. Born Dec. 6, 1923, in Larimer Township, Meyersdale RD 4, he was a son of Charles W. Murray, Meyersdale RD 4, and the late Mary Elizabeth (Mankamyer) Murray. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Also surviving are his widow, the former Eleanor Garman; two sons, Frederick J. Jr., at home; and Thomas J., of Kutztown; and a stepson, Barry F. Satz, also at home; four brothers, Blaine and Thomas, both of Reading, Vernon of Jacksonwald and Lester of Reading RD 3; and four sisters, Floy, wife of Raymond Brown, Temple; Evelyn, wife of Dalton Brown, Stony Creek Mills; Eleanor, wife of Clark Weller, Meyersdale RD 4; and June, wife of Russell Tidey, Harrisburg. Funeral service was held Dec. 20, in Reading, followed by burial there. Meyersdale Republican, January 17, 1973 (M2620)
