Murray, 95, of Phoenix Ariz., formerly of Friedens RD 1, died March 4, 1989, in the Humana Desert Valley Hospital in Phoenix. Born Dec. 2, 1893, in Somerset County, a son of the late Frank B. and Mary Belle "Molly" (Smith) Murray. Also preceded by his wife, the former Edith B. Ogline; and a son, Lewis J.; four sisters: Verda Will, Elsie Bailey, Ruth Weigle and Nannie Steegal. Survived by brothers: Wilbert H. Murray, Somerset RD 4, and Richard S. Murray of Somerset; also a number nieces and nephews. Member of the Acosta Church of God. Retired miner from the Acosta Mines and Consolidated Coal Co. Friends received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home where services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, the Rev. Charles L. McCollum officiating.
