Murray, 84, formerly of 84 Broadway, died Tuesday, March 31, 1987, in Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md. Born in Vale Summit, Md., Dec. 6, 1902, he was the son of the late David and Catherine (Lavin) Murray. His wife Alice (Winner) Murray, died July 10, 1984. He retired from the B&O Railroad and was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. Surviving are two daughters, Noreen Murray and Mrs. Pat Kauffman, both of Cumberland, Md.; two sons, James M. Murray Jr., Cumberland, Md.; and William Murray, Mansfield, Ohio; three sisters, Mrs. Agnes Bary, Frostburg, Md.; Mrs. Isabelle Fair, Grantsville, Md.; and Mrs. Margaret Malloy, Mount Savage, Md.; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Friends were received in the Durst Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Michael's Catholic Church. Interment, parish cemetery. Pallbearers were William Murray Jr., Robert Murray, Michael Murray, Kevin Kauffman, Leslie Fair, and William Malloy. Honorary pallbearers were Leroy Crowe, J.
