Born April 20, 1982, in Cambridge, the daughter of Sharon Gorski Foxwell and William O. Foxwell. She was stricken suddenly at her home and was taken to PRMC, where she passed away. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Betty Foxwell and her maternal step-grandfather, Cyril Ruark. On June 7, 2008, she was married to Travis J. Murray. Survivors include, her husband Travis J. Murray, Princess Anne; her mother, Sharon A. Foxwell of Sarasota, Fla.; her father, William O. Foxwell, Rhodesdale, Md.; maternal grandmother, Margaret Ruark; maternal grandfather, Ted Gorski and step-grandmother, Ann Gorski, Rhodesdale; paternal grandfather, James O. Foxwell, Cambridge; mother and father-in-law, Edie and Bradley Murray, Friedens; three brothers-in-law, Dorian Murray, Cody Murray and Dylan Murray; two aunts, Cindy Stevens and her husband, Russell Stevens and their daughters, Kristi Shaw, Kellie Stevens and Jennifer Travers; and Mickey, her Yorkie and Mya, her cat. She graduated from Cambridge South Dorchester High School in 2000 and also attended Salisbury State College and was currently working toward her bachelor's degree. Katie was a lifelong member of Zion United Methodist Church in Cambridge. She enjoyed boating and water sports as well as swimming and had also been actively involved in gymnastics. Katie enjoyed walking and keeping physically fit and also loved animals. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at Zion United Methodist Church, Cambridge. The Rev. Samuel H. McWilliams and the Rev. Kevin E. English officiating. The family will receive friends during the hour preceding the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Katie Foxwell Murray Memorial Fund, c/o the Bank of the Eastern Shore, P.O. Box 757, Cambridge, MD 2161
