  MURRAY
  
    Merle J. Murray, 62, of Garrett RD 1, died Jan. 15, 1996, at the
  University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Pittsburgh.  Born Oct. 23,
  1933, in Garrett a son of the late Israel K. and Alice Pearl (Lytle)
  Murray.  Also preceded in death by a sister, Lottie, and three
  brothers: Leonard, Dallas, and James.  Survived by his wife, the
  former Mary Virginia Hetz, and these children: Rheta Berkey,
  Somerset; Dorothy L. Wright, Salisbury; Brenda Lee Shepherd,
  Cumberland, Md.; Mary Ann Murray and Merle Michael Murray, both of
  Garrett.  Seven grandchildren: David, Jake, Carrie, Kim, Joshua,
  Malachi and Nicolas, and a great grandson, James Andrew Topper. 
  Brother of Robert S. Murray, Garrett, and Esther P. Murray,
  Meyersdale.  Mr. and Mrs. Murray were married for 41 years and lived
  at their present address since 1963.  A member of the Meyersdale
  Grace Brethren Church.  A drill operator, he was employed by Decker
  Coal Construction in Garrett for 15 years, and by Spory Well Drilling
  of Berlin RD 3 for 24 years.  Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and
  7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where
  service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, with Pastor Randy L.
  Haulk officiating.  Interment, Union Cemetery Meyersdale.
