Murray, 58, of Meyersdale RD 4, died Feb. 18, 1983, Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md. She was born March 29, 1924, in Wittenberg, a daughter of Mrs. Lydia (Smith) Christner, of Meyersdale RD 4, and the late Walter Christner. She is survived by her husband, Bernard A.; a daughter, Mrs. Lisa Hetz, Meyersdale RD 4; and a granddaughter, Kristal. She was a sister of Mrs. JoAnn Kukowski, of Reston, Va. She was a 1941 graduate of Meyersdale High School; a 1944 of Potomac Valley Nursing School, Keyser, W. Va., as registered nurse; life-member of White Oak Lutheran Church and memer [sic] of Willing Workers Class. She was a correspondent for the Meyersdale Republic where she wrote the White Oak Whispers column for many years; she nursed at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Maryland, and was nursing supervisor at Maple Mountain Manor, Berlin. Friends were received at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where services were conducted with the Rev. Gene Abel officiating. Interment, White Oak Cemetery. The Republic, February 24, 1983 [M2638]
