(Brougher) Murray, 45, Jennerstown, died Nov. 13, 1996, at home. Born Aug. 6, 1951, in Somerset. Daughter of Edward E. "Bud" and Jacqueline (Winters) Brougher. Preceded in death by brother, Edward C., April 26, 1984; maternal grandparents, Melvin "Pat" and Marian Winters; and paternal grandparents. Clark and Mark Brougher. Survived by parents, Jennerstown; husband, Richard L. and children: Jeffrey, a sophomore at Penn State, main campus; Kristine and Kathryn, both at home. Sister of Betty Sue, wife of William D. Johnston Jr., Berlin. Also survived by mother-in-law and father-in-law, Richard E. and Hazel C. Murray, Jennerstown; sister-in-law, Donna J., wife of James R. Benson, Mechanicsburg; and nephews, Tommy Johnston and Matthew and Ryan Benson. Member of Laurel Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jennerstown; church council and the worship committee. Taught First Communion class for 19 years. Also member of Trinity Chapter 138, O.E.S., Somerset; Laurel Arts, National Association of Wheat Weavers and Oakbrook Acorns Golf Association. Member and past president of the Somerset Garden Club and a former assistant director of Region 6, Pennsylvania Federation of Garden Clubs. 1969 graduate of the former Jenner-Boswell High School and a 1973 graduate of UPJ with a bachelor of science degree in elementary education. Also received an associate degree in 1995 in computer technology from Westmoreland Community College, Greensburg. Former teacher in the North Star School District. Also a substitute teacher at North Star, Somerset area and Shanksville-Stonycreek school districts and the IUO8. Treasurer of the North Star Soccer Boosters. Lifelong member naments. Craftsperson for 19 years at Somerset Mountain Craft Days. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday and Saturday and until 11:30 a.m. Sunday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell. Service at 1 p.m. Sunday at Laurel Trinity Church, with the Rev. Edward N. Corneilson officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. No viewing at church. OES service at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Laurel Trinity Lutheran Church Youth Scholarship Fund, Jennerstown, Pa. 15547, would be appreciated.
