Born June 3, 1936 in Somerset. Son of Harold Everett Musser Sr., M.D., and Julia (Evans) Musser. Preceded in death by parents. Survived by wife, the former Judith Hicks to whom he was married 38 years; children, Peter Hans Musser, married to the former Kimberly A. Sloan of Eldersburg, Md., and James Harold Musser, married to the former Gina Michelle Villella of Baltimore, Md., and two grandchildren, Erin Sloan Musser and Everett James Musser. Brother of Hans E. Musser married to the former Kathryn "Kitty" Kristoff of Somerset. Also a nephew, John Evans Musser of Sandy, Utah, and niece, Mrs. Coleman (Amy Julia) Reese of Boomes Mill, Va. Attended Trinity Lutheran Church, Somerset. A 1954 graduate of Mercersburg Academy. Served as captain in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Crisis. Graduated with a bachelor's degree from Haverford College. Received his M.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Served his internship at the Graduate Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Served his four-year Surgical Residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio, as well as one year of training in Internal Medicine. Dr. Musser also had additional training in Orthopedic Surgery. He practiced general medicine and surgery in Somerset since 1970. Was a member of the Pennsylvania Medical Society, the Somerset County Medical Society, and was a member of the Somerset Country Club. No viewing or visitation. Memorial service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Somerset, with the Rev. Robert L. Hoover Jr., senior pastor, officiating. Interment, Husband Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions be made to Somerset "In Touch" Hospice, 1590 N. Center Ave., Somerset, Pa. 15501 or the American Cancer Society, 168 West Union St., Somerset, Pa. 15501, or Trinity Lutheran Church, 918 Tayman Ave., Somerset, Pa. 15501.
