Musser, 86, of Zelienople, formerly of Connellsville, died peacefully, April 5, 2006, in the UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born January 20, 1920 in Berlin, Robert was the son of the late Charles and Cora Fresh Musser. He was preceded in death by a brother, William Musser, who resided in Meyersdale. Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Marie M. Bittner Musser; his son, Robert L. Musser, O'Hara Township; granddaughters, Grechen Musser Kennedy, Woodbridge, VA, and Kristen Musser Ginzberg, Pittsburgh; great-grandson, Samuel Robert Kennedy; and brothers, Richard Musser, Berlin, and Jack Musser, Bloomsburg. Bob was graduate of Berlin High School with the class of 1938. He was a veteran of World War II, having served as a Corporal in the U.S. Army and served in the South Pacific for five years and was a member of the Connellsville VFW #21. Prior to his retirement in 1988, Bob worked as an inspector for the former Anchor Hocking Glass Co. in South Connellsvile. He was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Connellsville. He was also a member of the King Solomon's Lodge #346 F & AM, the Uniontown Lodge of Perfection, the Consistory Valley of Pittsburgh and the Syria Shrine. He was a former member of the South Connellsville Lions Club and was recently a member of the Bullskin Township Lions Club and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, General Worth Lodge #386. Family and friends were received April 8 and 9 at the Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., in Connellsville. A funeral service was held April 10 at the Trinity Evangelical Church in Connellsville, with the Rev. Philip S. Ramstad, officiating. A committal service and interment followed at the Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville. Military rites were conducted by the Connellsville Veteran's Commission Honor Guard. King Solomon's Lodge #346 F & AM conducted a service on April 9 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 126 E.
