Myers, 74, of Friendsville RD 1, Maryland, died at his residence Saturday, November 17, 1984. Born near Friendsville, Maryland, he was a son of the late Orville Myers and Martha (Chisolm) Myers. A World War II veteran, he was retired from General Motors Corp. at Cleveland, Ohio. He was a member of Sand Spring Church of God and the Disabled American Veterans at Oakland. Surviving are his widow, Ona (VanSickle) Myers; one son, Roger Myers, Confluence; one daughter, Mrs. Saundra Greene, Cumberland, Maryland; two step-sons, James VanSickle Jr., Pannama [sic] City, Fla. and Ronald VanSickle, Lewistown, Idaho; three step-daughters, Mrs. Marcie Henning, Markleysburg; Mrs. Terry Ferguson, Bluefield, W. Va. and Mrs. Rosemary Combs, St. Petersburg, Fla.; three brothers, Arthur C. Myers and Fred W. Myers, both of Markleysburg and Bruce A. Myers, Frostburg, Maryland; two sisters, Mrs. Pearl M. Cuppett and Mrs. Mary L. Glover, both Markleysburg; four grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Friends were received in the Newman Funeral Home where services were conducted by the Rev.
