Myers, 79, of 305 Juna Street, New Smyrna, Fla., formerly of Fairhope, died Nov. 12, 1974, at Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach, Fla., after falling from a ladder at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary (Sarver) Myers. Surviving are his wife, Anna M. Myers; two sons, John W. Myers, Daytona Beach, and William of Dearborn, Mich.; a daughter, Mrs. Vivian M. Owens, of Deland, Fla.; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; a brother, Merle F. Myers, of Dearborn; and two sisters, Mrs. Stanford Coughenour of Johnstown, and Mrs. Richard C. Miller of Somerset. She [sic] was a member of the First United Methodist Church in New Smyrna, the Carpenters Union Local No. 1725 in Daytona Beach, and a World War I Army veteran. Funeral service was held Nov. 14 in Settle-Wilder Funeral Home Chapel. Interment in Edgewater Cemetery. Meyersdale Republic, November 21, 1974 [M2704]
