(Somerset, Pa.): February 17, 1892 Mrs. John Neff, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. H. Parker, in this place at an early hour Saturday morning, in her 84th year. Death resulted from old age. Her husband, who died a score of years ago, was one of Somerset county's leading and most enterprising citizens. Mrs. Neff was a daughter of Capt. Bateman Webster, an officer in the war of the revolution and a member of the society of “Cincinnatus," whose quaint figure dressed in Knickerbockers and with a queue at the nape of his neck is still remembered by a number of our older citizens.
