Nagle, Sr., 82, of 216 Mississippi St., Boswell, died May 23, 1979, at the Somerset Community Hospital. Born April 4, 1897, in Chest Springs, Pa., the son of Aaron and Sara M. (Carroll) Nagle. Preceded in death by parents; first wife, Edna Beatty; son, Myrle J. Jr.; a sister, a brother and a granddaughter. Survived by widow, the former Isabel (MacLaren) Rheam and these children: Dolores, wife of Boyd Kerstetter of Berkley Springs, W. Va,; Marion, wife of William Stackhouse of Harrisburg; Betty, wife of Robert Reeder of Lewistown; Mrs. Jean Layton of Somerset; and R. Edward Rheam of Cupertina, Calif.; also 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Brother of: George of Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. Enid Tobey of Fraser, Mich.; Mrs, Edna Streeter of Hale, Mich.; and Mrs. Audrey Bittner of Beaford Heights, Ohio. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Boswell; Local 998 UMWA, Tire Hill, and Jenner Road and Gun Club; served seven years as a machinist's mate, 2nd Class in the U.S. Navy during WWI; charter member, past commander and chaplain of Boswell Post 461, American Legion; retired in 1961 from the former Bird Coal Company, Tire Hill. Friends received until 9 p.m. Sunday at the Joseph G. Hoffman Funeral Home, 409 Main St., Boswell, where wake service will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday. Mass of Christian Burial, 9 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Church with the Rev. Samuel Tomaselli officiating. Interment, Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
