Born Dec. 25, 1921, in Lincoln Township, son of Harry Benton and Lena Alverta (Baker) Nair. Preceded in death by parents and brother Fred Nair. Survived by wife, the former Betty Elaine Kimmel of Rockville, to whom he was married 54 years; children, Roger W. Nair of Bakerton, W.Va., Arthur W. Nair of Rockville, Md., Mrs. Justin (Althea) Hall of Damascus, Md., and Douglas Nair, married to the former Carol Spicer, of Germantown, Md.; and two grandchildren. Brother of Louise Rininger of Stoystown. Member of Crusader Lutheran Church, Rockville. A 1940 graduate of Somerset Area High School. U.S. veteran of World War II. Retired cartographer with the U.S. Government Defense Mapping Agency. Member of American Society of Photogrammetry. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where services will be conducted 11:30 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Dennis L. Doebler officiating.
