  NAUGLE
  
  Herbert J. Naugle, 87, of Hooversville RD 1, died Sept. 23, 1985, in Mercy
  Nursing Care Center, Johnstown.  Born Sept. 19, 1898, Shade Township, son of
  John D. and Sadie (Blough) Naugle.  Preceded in death by parents; wife,
  Florence V. Butler; one granddaughter; and three sisters. Survived by these
  children: Mrs. Meredith (Thelma R.) Berkebile, Hooversville; John D., married
  to Dorothy MacLeam, Hooversville RD 1; Mrs. Roland (Darlene J.) Catterall,
  Philadelphia; Miss Geraldine, Cleveland, Ohio; six grandchildren; eight
  great-grandchildren.  Brother of Mrs. Erma Powell of Somerset. Member of St.
  Thomas Lutheran Church and retired dairy farmer. Family will be receiving
  friends 7-9 p.m.  Tuesday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the George E.
  Mason Funeral Home, Davidsville.  Remains will lie in state from 10 a.m.
  Thursday at St. Thomas Lutheran Church until time of service at 11 a.m., the
  Rev. Gerald Myers.  Interment, church cemetery.
