Lung cancer was reported to be the cause of death. Mr. Neff was a former principal of Meyersdale High School. He was here three years, 1952 to 1955. Mr. Neff, of 3106 Waindell Ave., Dormont, was superintendent of Dormont schools for 10 years before the Dormont system was merged into the new Keystone Oaks district a year ago. He held office with the Pennsylvania State Education Association, was a member of the PSEA State Executive Council, and a past president of PSEA western convention district. He was a past president of Independent District Superintendents Association, an officer in the 75 club, a member of the American Association of School Administrators and a member and a trustee of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church. He was a 1932 graduate of University of Pittsburgh. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Miller Neff; a son, William, Dormont; three daughters, Cheryl and Dana at home, and Mrs. Audrey Maretzki of Honolulu, and his father, William Neff, also of Dormont. Private service was held Tuesday in the chapel of Vincent Rodgers Funeral Home. Memorial service in Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church Tuesday evening. Burial in Mars Hill Cemetery.
