Neiderhiser, 85, Ligonier RD 4, died Feb. 12, 2000, in Latrobe Area Hospital. Born Aug. 6, 1914 in Cook Township, a son of the late Jesse and Gernie (Ament) Neiderhiser. Also preceded in death by a brother, Wilmer and a son-in-law, Elmer Stough Jr. Survived by wife, the former Elzabeth Kloock, with whom he would have celebrated a 65th wedding anniversary in August; children, Joyce Stough of Stahlstown, Ron Neiderhiser and wife Shirley, Ligonier, Marlene and husband Robert Keefe of Latrobe and Lois and husband, Dennis Moore of Somerset; 11 grandchildren: Jeffrey, Neil and Mark Stough, Jena'e Neiderhiser Ph.D., Julanni Waldburger, Stacy May, Kelly, Bradley and Shelly Douglas, Brian Lohr and Michelle Moore; 9 great-grandchildren: Anjel, Rusty, Marsha, Kristine Stough, Lisa Fencil, Carmella Stanko, Bradley Douglas, Brandon Grimm and Courtney Waldburger; sister, Mae Park Giffen of Ligonier and a number of nieces and nephews. He was a caretaker for the Smith, Hamo, McCray and Eyers families prior to retirement. Member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church and the Sunshine Bible Class. Also member of VFW post 734, Ligonier, the former Ligonier Eagles, a watcher for the Civil Defense during World War II, and was a former sexton for Pleasant Grove Cemetery. He was a loving, kind and supportive father. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Monday at the Snyder Funeral Home Inc. and Crematory, Bell and E. Church streets, Ligonier, where service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday. Rev. Audrey J. Bell officiating. Interment, Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Cook Township.
