Born Oct. 5, 1921, in Hooversville, daughter of McKinley Myles Ankeny and Ida (Helsel) Ankeny Chasar. Preceded in death by parents, stepfather, Lewis Chasar, brother, McKinley Ankeny, and long-time friend and companion Busy. Survived by sons, Joseph Potochar, and Ronald Potochar, married to the former Bonnie Jones, both of Hooversville, sister, Edna Greathouse, Windber, and a number of nieces and nephews. She was a former instructor at Linsey Hopkins Technical Center, Miami, for many years. Employed as a server for 16 years by Host Marriott Services at Orlando International Airport where she received many recognitions and awards for excellent service, and where she was known by all only as Charlie. She also was nominated for the state of Florida's Outstanding Worker of the Year Award. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Deaner Funeral Home, 976 Barn St., Hooversville, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Thomas V.
