  Howard T. Nelson, 74, of Springfield, Va., died Aug. 23, 1994, at home.
  Survived by his former wife, Verna Nelson Williams of Springfield, and sons:
  Mark, married to the former Sharon Shaffer, Central City; Gregory, married to
  the former Carol Stopa, Clinton, Md., and Vernon "Skip", married to the former
  Debbie Lou Balya, Stoystown RD 2, and grandchildren - Kristin Nelson of
  Orlando, Fla.; Scott and Mark Nelson of Central City, and Patti Jo and Julie
  Nelson of Stoystown RD 2. Viewing will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
  Thursday at the Cunningham Funeral Home at the corner of Cameron and North
  Alfred in Alexandria, Va. Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the
  funeral home.
