   Mamie B. Nelson, 84, Somerset, formerly of Beckley, W.Va., died March 7, 2008, at
  Somerset Hospital. Born Feb. 28, 1924, in Beckley, W.Va., the daughter of Charlie H. and
  Annie E. (Robinson) Nelson. Preceded in death by loving parents; husband, Philip B.
  Spory; grandson, David G. Dupont Jr.; sisters, Louise and Lola; and brothers, Preston,
  Charlie and Claude. Survived by these children, Charlie L. Johnson and wife, Sheila,
  Ballengee, W.Va.; Judy Snuffer and Rosemary Gardner, both of Somerset; and Phyllis Spory
  Ohler and husband, Terry, Stoystown; grandchildren, Roger and Tammy Snuffer, David L.
  and Kay Snuffer, Rosemary Snuffer, Scott and Sallie Snuffer, Barry and Heather Gardner,
  Christian and Stephen Walters, Lori and Jason Krause, Justin Ohler, Malorie and James
  Tedrow; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. Sister of Eddie Nelson and
  wife, Helen, Philadelphia, and Shirley White, Loraine, Ohio. Graduate of cosmetology and
  slenderizing schools and had her own flower shop. She rode one of the first wagon trains
  through Somerset County in the early 1970s. She enjoyed walking, spending time with her
  family, tap dancing and baking. Family will received friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
  Monday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Additional viewing from 12 p.m. until time of
  service at 1 p.m. Wednesday, at Melton Funeral Home, Beckley, W.Va. The Rev. Bobby
  Combs officiating. Entombment, Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley, W.Va. Memorial
  contributions may be given to Medi Home Hospice, 308 Haynes St., Johnstown, PA 15901.
