   Melba L. (Atkins) Nelson, 91, Stoystown, died May 5, 2008, at Somerset Hospital. Born
  July 27, 1916, in Catlettsburg, Ky., the daughter of Lewis and Eva (Reese) Atkins.
  Preceded in death by parents and three sisters. Survived by a nephew, Louis R. Stowers
  and wife, Helen, Stoystown, with whom she resided for the past nine years; great-niece,
  Shelley M. Stowers, Portland, Ore.; and two great-nephews, Paul and Jerry Norton,
  California. Family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., the time of service, Wednesday,
  at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. The Rev. Edward V. DeVore officiating. Interment,
  Mizpah Cemetery at the convenience of the family
