Nesbit, 87, of 807 Goucher St., formerly of Park Avenue, Johnstown, died Nov. 10, 1997, at the Allegheny Lutheran Home. Born March 8, 1910 in Geiger, daughter of the late John and Tillie (Schrock) Mowry. Preceded in death by first husband, Homer Enfield; a sister, Mary Freese, and a brother, Paul. Survived by husband, Perry E. Nesbit, and daughter, Janet P., wife of Ronald E. Young, both of Johnstown; also three nieces: Elizabeth Martin of Latrobe, Jeannette Rowe of Cape Cod, Mass., and Mary Jane Coffroth of Escondido, Calif. Charter member of the Somerset Church of the Brethren, a member of Orient Chapter, No. 35, OES, Pittsburgh; Airys Temple No. 48, Daughters of the Nile, Pittsburgh; member of the auxiliary to Knights Templar, the ladies auxiliary of BPOE No. 175, the Johnstown Garden Club, Group 10, Conemaugh Hospital; Community Arts Center and a 50-year member of the Somerset American Legion auxiliary. Graduate of Lock Haven State Teachers College. No visitation or receiving of friends. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Johnstown, the Rev. Earl Janssen. Interment, Union Cemetery, Somerset. Arrangements in the charge of Pickin-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, Johnstown. Contributions may be made to the Allegheny Lutheran Home, Johnstown.
