  John G. Neuhof Jr., 70, of Boswell RD 2, died Oct. 7, 1976, at Mercy
  Hospital, Johnstown.  Born Sept. 2. 1906, in Jenner Township, Somerset
  County, a son of John and Marie Neuhof Sr.  Preceded in death by parents;
  brothers, Albert, Charles, Alfred and Fred; and a sister, Anna.  Survived
  by his widow, the former Marie Neuhof; these children: Mary Jane, wife of
  Lee W. Thomas, Wilmington, Dela.; Patricia, wife of John Bihary,
  Pittsburgh; and George, married to the former Carol Tressler, Stoystown RD
  3;  11 grandchildren.  Was a brother of: Mrs. Marie Quellmalz, Mrs. Louise
  Kay, Mrs. Frieda Fungunt, Mrs. Hilda Briggs and Mrs. Dorothy Ranke.  Member
  of Laurel Trinity Lutheran Church, Jennerstown, where he served on the
  Church Council for many terms.  Also member of Excelsior Bible Class of the
  church, Laurel Mountain Senior Citizens, Jenner Rod and Gun Club, Ferndale
  Sportsmen's Club, Local No. 1742 U.M.W. of A., Jenners; and officer of
  Jenner Grange No. 1661.  Prominent retired Jenner Township farmer and
  former employe of Consolidation Coal Co., Pittsburgh.  Friends received
  from 7-9 p.m. Friday and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday at Joseph H.
  Hoffman Funeral Home, 227 Allegheny St., Boswell.  Funeral service 2 p.m.
  Sunday at Laurel Trinity Lutheran Church, Jennerstown, the Rev. Jesse E.
  Wolf.  Interment, Mt. Zion Cemetery.
