(Possny) Neuhof, 93, the White Star Village, Jennerstown, died April 5, 2004, at Somerset Hospital. Born Jan. 8, 1911, in Germany. Preceded in death by parents; husband, John G. Neuhof Jr., on Oct. 7, 1976; granddaughter, Avey Neuhof; one sister and two brothers. Survived by children: Mary Jane, married to Lee W. Thomas, Hockessin, Del.; Patricia G., married to John Bihary, Pittsburgh; and George J. Neuhof Sr., married to former Carol Tressler, Jennerstown; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Member of Laurel Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jennerstown, where she served on the church council, was a member of the choir for 50 years, was a member of the Excelsior Bible Class and a member of WELCA. Also a member of the former Laurel Mountain Senior Citizens. She served as chaplain of the Jenner Grange 1661. Past county president of the Seventh Society of Farm Women. Served on the board of the Somerset Area Agency on Aging. And was also a member of the Republican Committee of Somerset County for 20 years. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny Street, Boswell, where the Seventh Society of Farm Women will have a service at 4 p.m. Friday. Friends also received from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Saturday at Laurel Trinity Church. The Rev. Jacquelyn S. Ahern officiating. Interment Mount Zion Cemetery.
