    NEWELL
    
  George E. Newell, 74, of Somerset, died Dec. 13, 1980, in Somerset
  Community Hospital.  Born June 14, 1906, in Pittsburgh, son of Frank and
  Mary (Murphy) Newell.  Preceded in death by one brother.  Survived by his
  widow, the former Mary Reedy; and these children:  Dolores, wife of James
  Gordon of Pittsburgh; Cindy, wife of Donald Shur, Atlantic City, N.J.; five
  grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  Also survived by brother, Richard
  of Pittsburgh.  Member of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Somerset. 
  Graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, College of Pharmacy.  Retired
  druggist from the Revco Drug Co. Friends will be received after 2 p.m.
  Monday in the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home.  Mass of Christian Burial
  will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in St. Peter's Catholic Church with the
  Rev. Father Samuel Tomaselli, celebrant.  Interment, Somerset County
  Memorial Park.  Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
