    MRS. ROBERT J. NEWMAN
    
  Alice M. Newman, 70, Meyersdale, died in Meyersdale Feb. 5, 1972.  She was
  born Aug. 11, 1901, in Finzel, Md., a daughter of Joseph and Annie (Werner)
  Clark.
    
  Surviving are her husband Robert J. Newman, Salisbury; a son, Paul Newman
  at home; and a daughter, Mrs. Phyllis M. Haas, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio;
  also two grandchildren, five brothers, George Clark, Lake Mentor, Ohio;
  Elmer, Pittsburgh; Robert and Harry Clark, both of Lewistown; and Earl of
  Meyersdale RD 3: and two sisters, Mrs. Alma Martens, Loysville, Pa.; and
  Miss Mae Clark, Belgian Congo, Africa.
    
  Funeral service was held Tuesday morning, Feb. 8, in Thomas Funeral Home,
  Salisbury, with Rev. David E. Fetter officiating.  Interment in Greenville
  Cemetery.
