  Blanche Susan (Pritts) Newman, 91, of 144 S. Grant St., Salisbury, died Sept.
  22, 1996, at Meyersdale Medical Center.  Born April 18, 1905, in Jennings, Md.
  She was a daughter of the late Edward and Cordelia (Broadwater) Pritts.
  Preceded in death by her husband, Otto O. "Sol" Newman on Nov. 30, 1963, and
  2 daughters, Joyce Brick and Shirley Glotfelty.  Mrs. Newman was a homemaker
  and member of St. John's Lutheran Church.  Survived by 2 sons: Oney O. Newman,
  Meyersdale; Donald E. Newman, Glencoe; 2 daughters: Lois Newman Kushner,
  Wellsville, and Sandra Newman Hamblen, Bowie, Md.; a sister, Ethel Wahl,
  Meyersdale; also 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 3
  great-great-grandsons.  Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the
  Newman Funeral Home Inc., Salisbury. Services at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St.
  John's Lutheran Church with the Rev. David E. Fetter officiating.  Interment,
  Salisbury Cemetery.  Expressions of sympathy may be directed to St. John's
  Lutheran Church.
