  CHARLEY J. NEWMAN
  
  Charley J. Newman, 83, of the Church of the Brethren Home, Windber, died Dec.
  17, 1966, in Richland Twp., Cambria County.
  Born Oct. 31, 1883, in Elk Lick Twp., he was a son of Jerome and Mary (Maust)
  Newman.
  Surviving are a daughter, wife of John Peffer, Jennerstown; a son, Cavelle,
  Youngstown, Ohio; and four grandchildren. He was a brother of Edward, Robert,
  and Mrs. Elizabeth Folk, all of Salisbury; Mrs. Cora Engle, New York state;
  and Mrs. Emma Bepler, Pittsburgh.
  He is a former cashier of Peoples State Bank, Boswell, and for a number of
  years was chief assessor of Somerset County.
  Funeral service was held in Boswell Wednesday morning, with interment in IOOF
  Cemetery, Salisbury.
