  EDWARD C. NEWMAN
  
  Edward C. Newman, 83, formerly of Salisbury, died Dec. 14, 1974, in
  Meyersdale Community Hospital.  A native of Salisbury, he was a son of the
  late Jerome and Mary Ann (Maust) Newman.
  He was a member of Salisbury Church of the Brethren, Salisbury Lions Club
  and was a life member of the Salisbury Volunteer Fire Company.
  Surviving are his wife, the former Lula E. Livengood; two sons, Ward C.
  Newman, Confluence; and Don J. Newman, Grantsville; and three daughters, Mrs.
  Albert Tilly, Hicksville, N.Y.; Mrs. Lou Ann Byers, Jacksonville, N.C.; and
  Mrs. Kay Blanco, Wayne, N.J.; also six grandchildren, three
  great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert J. Newman, Salisbury, and two sisters,
  Mrs. Emma Butler, Florida, and Mrs. Elizabeth Folk, Salisbury.
  Funeral service was conducted Tuesday afternoon in Newman Funeral Home,
  Grantsville, with Rev. Daniel Whitacre officiating.  Interment in Salisbury
  Cemetery.
