  NEWMAN
  
  Eleanor H. Newman, 87, of Salisbury, died May 2, 2002, at Beverly Healthcare,
  Meyersdale.  Born May 24, 1915, in Meyersdale.  A daughter of the late Eugene
  and Lulu (Getty) Hostetler.  Also preceded in death by her husband, Hubert L.
  Newman; sisters Louise Campbell and Alice Saylor Glime, Meyersdale; and
  brothers, Oliver, Eugene, and John Hostetler.  Survived by a son, John O.
  Newman, McCoole, Md.; two grandchildren, Joshua and Ella Newman. A member of
  St. John's United Church of Christ, Salisbury.  Owned and operated Eleanor's
  Dress Shop in Salisbury for 25 years.  Eleanor and her husband Hubert were
  very involved in civic and community activities in Salisbury.  Friends will be
  received from noon to 2 p.m. the time of service Sunday at the Price Funeral
  Home, Meyersdale, Tommy Lee Holliday officiating.  Interment, Salisbury
  Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the Meyersdale Public Library, Center St.,
  Meyersdale, Pa. 15552.
